Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix discovered early that she had a talent for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks after her very first tryout. Felix completed high school and signed an agreement for Adidas. In the year 2004, she was enrolled at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 secs. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won the title by beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of every event.
